"M/Y SO LONG"
Mahogany beauty

SoLong pic

This Beauty measures almost 42 feet from stem to stern. Designed by two legendary swedish designers,
H Forslund and C.A Fagerman.

"SoLong" was delivered 26th of may 1930 under the name Hobby. Back in 1947 she was registered in KMK (The Royal motorboat Club) named Champlain. In the beginning of the 50's the designer H Forslund owned her for a few years. 1954 she was given her third name Micro II. In 1978 she finally became "SoLong"

A gradual renovation has been done by Staffan Nilsson who nowadays owns and use her every summer. The interior is very typical for this kind of boats, under the stem deck there was from the begining only room enough for the engine. Today the engine is placed right under the steeringbridge and have thereby given place to three berth under deck. In order to make her more useful in our climat with very short and rainy summers, Staffan put some sunroofs on. The saloon dominates of plush and brass, there is seats on both sides with dinering place for at least six people. The toilett is placed on the starboardside and the pentry with cooler and sink on portside.

"So Long" is one of three boats build on simular hull but with small differencies concidering the saloon and windowframes. The other two where "Tärnan" and "Flush", unfortunately "Flush" was totally destroid in a fire 1990.
