Maybe you should have turned around after all. For in this house, not only do you have to be afraid of the things that lurk in the dark, but you have to be afraid of the dark. A few more steps down the passage, you stumble across a low threshold into a room, the nature of which will never be known to you. Residing in this room is something which cannot be called an entity because it is not alive, and which cannot be seen for the simple reason that it is pure Darkness. A few moments after you have entered, this Darkness proceeds to suck at your substance from all of the air that surrounds you. To begin with this is merely unpleasant and disconcerting. The ultimate sensation is not unlike that of being torn apart by several thousand little hooks buried in every part of your skin and in the flesh beneath. Your adventure ends here.
