You lean against the armchair, trying to pull yourself together after the frantic battle. On one table there lies a book which the man seems to have been reading, and you take a quick look at it. It is obviously very old and printed in a black letter typeface. The text is in Latin, so you cannot read it, but the woodcuts which adorn the pages depict scenes of an occult nature: witches burning at stakes, torture victims, rituals overlooked by goat-headed beings, and so on. You put the book down and instead turn your attention to the mysterious object which is now lying on the floor. It is a small mask of an unnerving design which you might guess to be Mayan or Aztec. As it is obviously not made to be worn by a person, it could be some kind of magic charm. You can take this demon-mask with you before leaving through the door to the left (turn to 93) or the door to the right (turn to 58).
