”Malmoe
without drugs and prejudice” is a drug and alcohol abuse preventing
project that IMF took the initiative to in 1997. With support
from the National Institute of Public Health the project could start
it´s activity in january 1998.
The projects goal was to increase the knowledge to drugs and alcohol
to children and youths in the danger zone and to activate these children
and youths into different forms of activities , amongst them , music
education. Another goal was to create a place where they could get together
and have some fun without getting into fights or drugs. One important
goal was also to educate parents in noticing their childrens behavior
, so that they wouldn´t be the ”last” to find out if their youths are
abusing drugs or alcohol.
We co - operated with the Parentsassociation Against Drugs
( FMN ) , local police and licensed doctors to give parents and children
a total picture of what drugs and alcoholdoes in the society , both
legally and economically , and inside the human body. We held approx.
60 theme nights during 1998.
The year after , the project had increased it´s activity to intire Sweden
where they visited the schools of Stockholm , Gothenborg , Helsingborg
, Lund , Mariestad etc , etc. During 1999 the project visited approx.
100 schools. This year ”Malmoe without drugs and prejudice” will tour
all around Sweden during the autumn. If your school or organisation
