ZXCF Interface

ZXCF+ (v2.1 pcb) pcb size 54x72mm

For the first time I have selected the box first and then designed the pcb, the ZXBT2 slot is to provide a easy expansion. I hope this brings some DIY in boxing the interface and later on making some simple expansions. Scroll down for the boxing zxcf+ pictures.

Autoconfig, no jumper settings for spectrum model.

ZX Spectrum (runs on 48,48+,128,+2,+2A,+3,+3e)

Typical CF cards that runs fine is SanDisk Normal speed, you probally can't get them soon. Don't worry the ZXCF+ runs hi-speed CF as well, a typical is SanDisk Extreme III, 1 or 2GB, there are other sizes as well but haven't been tested.(4GB, 8GB)
FAT16 supports partitions sizes up to 2GB, several 2GB partitions should work.

Operating system used is Garry Lancaster's ResiDOS.
ResiDOS supports FAT filesystem both reading & saving.
You can run InterfaceII roms, you can have several different OS roms.

Here is the full description on the connector, the /IO159 is reserved, if you use it then you might have problems on future releases of ResiDOS.

How to upgrade memory from 512KB to 1024KB (klick for a bigger picture above)
The next memorychip 512KB is soldered over the first one, all pins except pin 22
is soldered, pin 22 is wired to PAD1. No other parts needed.
