I am as old as the hills...as young as the morning
breeze. I was born in 1945 in a small town in
northwestern Ontario to a woman named
Kee-Way-Goon-A-Beak. I have many, many
children.  My eldest is in her thirties. My
youngest almost 2 years old. An enrolled
member of the Seine River band of Ojibwa
Indians from Canada. Also known as Anishanobae
people. The reserve is located in Northwestern,
Ontario.  Currently reside in Chicago with
Beverly Moeser the beautiful and talented
filmmaker, she is half German and Mernominee
Indian. We have three small children...Michael,
Quentin and Annabelle Rose.

Beverly was born in 1960 in Chicago. Her Mother
Annabelle is a Menominee Indian from Wisconsin
and her father Eugene is of German American
decent. With a degree from Columbia College
Beverly is a noted film-maker and is coordinator
of the First Nation’s Film and Video Festival
now in its seventh year. She is also Executive
Director of the Institute for Native American
Development (INAD) and is a recognized leader
in her community. As a mother of three childreen
and a fourth on the way she is a busy woman.
I credit her with motivating me to go after that
dream I have always had ….”Hell, without her, I’d
still be out there on the streets wandering
aimlessly. She came into my life and got me
focused. The rest is now history.”

Profession: By trade...a journeyman machinist but
the industry is changing too rapidly. I now write
full time (Published  a collection of poetry,
entitled "A DOZEN COLD ONES" and became
quite infamous as a performer)  and now I teach
theater to young gang-bangers at Truman College
where I am Founding Artistic Director of Red
Path Theater Company. Have worked in sales ...
construction ...acting ... and as a performance
artist, a community organizer and union represen-
tative. Currently work by going into schools to
flirt with the teachers and give talks to students
... elementary to college.

Some additional info on yourself: I have written
a number of plays which have been produced in
the Chicago area. Just finished the first and
second draft of a movie entitled RED REQUIEM...
political turmoil on city streets, which draws upon
my experience with AIM and an intimate know-
ledge of the American Indian Community in
Chicago. Am a life long member of  AIM.
Other info...I have a garden...a cat and am
currently looking for the right dog...for my
smaller kids.

Hobbies: Gardening, occassional bird watching.
I live near a bird sanctuary and sometimes study
the migration habits of birds. I used to hunt but
now only use a camera. I have no need to hunt.
I like to do art on old chairs that I find in alleys.
Just finished three of them recently. I enjoy
travelling. Canoing!
I was raised in the bush and my toys were canoes
and boats...I fish on occassions but not much.

NOTE:   My book Survivor's Medicine published
by the University of Oklahoma Press in October
1998 won the 1999 AMERICAN BOOK AWARD
given by the BEFORE COLUMBUS FOUNDATION.
I am very proud of that.
