This part is about the reality at an orphanage in a town about 90 km south of Chernobyl.

I made this site after the framing of a question from the director of this house - Elena Chimanskaya - to find couples who are able to adopt and give these children a better future. In return she give us the address, name and phone number straight to the people in charge in this matter, without - as I understand - any cynical money making "agentura".

- But first we open the door to this huge solid house and enter...
It´s a bit chilly, it´s old fashioned, it´s clean and it´s
quiet (!)
It´s a lot of employees here, we ask for the director, the staff are kind and helpful and the director is available within a couple of minutes.
She invite us to her office - there are a couple of packages at her desk - she point at them and says: This is antibiotic from Canada, we are total dependent of foreign aid.
Here are 120-130 boys and girls from - 1 month - to 4 years of age, after that they´ll be transported to an "internat".
Here are also children with "special mentally problems" and 18 of the kids are invalids.

- Now we really need clothes, food, milk, gruel, sanitary ware, money, antibiotic, vitamins, iron and other medicines.

-Parents (because of the circumstances) who can´t afford to take care of their own kids are increasing.

After changing clothes Elena is guiding us around.
The house is like a hospital separated in different sections and huge corridors.

- This is the quarantine, here they stay one month:

Update 2003 Nowadays the Florida based non-profit humanitarian organisation Lifehouseministries.org (LINK) is a reliable adoption facilitator, they will help you with your adoption, they are delivering since 2000 loads of aid to our children in the UA! you can mail them HERE
