About the Past

About the Brightblade Dwarves of Anathar's Dell

Araudria from Urgarham

"Anathar's Dell is not far from here, only some hours travell. Dwarves do live there, and, I have heard that people calls them by the name of Brightblade. For as long as I know, they have lived there. They do not make much noise, you know. And, I have never bothered to visit them."

"I have meet though some dwarves at Dalemansthing. And we have spoken some words, but I have never asked them about their past. That would have been unrude. I do not think that we have notes in our library, but If you would like, go ahed and search. Many of the books are written in elven, though."

Flarar from Urgarham

"What about them? I do not know. Dwarves are strange. Living under the mountains and all that. Saw a dwarf in Dalemansthing, the first time. Yeah. Was still a young lad, I was. They have lived a long time in the Dale. Never heard a dwarf say anything about Brightblade. "

About the Mage-Lord of Daggerdale

Araudria from Urgarham

"I cannot remember which year it was, but when we came to this village, we had previously heard stories of the Mage-Lord. He was a human, you know, and a wizard too. Now he has been dead for a long time, more than a human's lifetime. He was the ruler of the Dale, and it was said that he was a poweful wizard."

"I do not think that we have notes in our library, but If you would like, go ahed and search. Many of the books are written in elven, though."

Flarar from Urgarham

"Yeah,  the Mage-Lord. I have heard the stories. A Morn you know, and, the Morns are not to be trusted. Yeah, you say that lord Randal is a Dalesman, but lord Malyk, he was also one, you know. No, Randal, he is no real Dalesman. He is just an old fool."

About the Dream Fever and the Events of Doom of Daggerdale

Araudria from Urgarham

"You are asking about something that happened a few years ago. And a lot of gossip and stories have been told. Only a sage, could tell you what really happened. However, I can tell you that the citizens of Dagger Falls were hunted by a disease and those that got sick, fell asleep and died."

"I do not think that we have notes in our library, but If you would like, go ahed and search. Many of the books are written in elven, though."

Flarar from Urgarham

"I tell you this, the Morns are not fit to rule! I have heard, and not here, if you know what I mean, that it was an undead sorcerer of house Morn that was the evil behind the dream fever. Yeah, must have been a Morn, always a Morn! It is there fault that the Zhents came, you know. "

About Watchgate and Stonegate

Araudria from Urgarham

"There are many ruins down here in Freemarch. Maybe, the folks of Anathar's Dell have something to tell. Still, the tower is visible from Dalemansthing, and I did ask some Daggerdalesmen elders about the tower. They couldn't see the tower, but they know about it. Still, they did not have much to say. The life of a human is short. That was some ninety years ago, and I have never bothered much about the past."

"I do not think that we have notes in our library, but If you would like, go ahed and search. Many of the books are written in elven, though."

Flarar from Urgarham

"The tower ... You better ask Morn, that is, lord Randal Morn. It is probably one of his ancestors who built the tower. The Morns had a castle, north beyond the Dagger River. Maybe, the folks at Anathar's Dell know something. But, if I were you, I would not be heading in that direction. Orcs and goblins, that is what you will find."
